Rare disease research
Supporting Cure CMD
A portion of the donations the Galaxy Fund collects goes directly to Cure CMD, an organization dedicated to advancing research and support for those affected by Congenital Muscular Dystrophy (CMD). Founded in 2008 by three parents of children with CMD, the organization is committed to finding treatments and improving the lives of those living with this rare genetic disorder.
What is CMD?
Congenital Muscular Dystrophy is a group of rare genetic disorders characterized by muscle weakness present at or shortly after birth. Mutations in more than 30 known genes cause muscle tissue to break down faster than the body can repair it, leading to progressive physical challenges. Individuals with CMD may experience:
- Limited or lost ability to walk
- Respiratory weakness
- Scoliosis and joint contractures
- Feeding difficulties and cardiac complications
- In some cases, significant cognitive impairments
By supporting Cure CMD, we are helping to fund vital research, medical advancements, and community support programs that bring hope to affected children and families. Together, we can work toward a future with better treatments and improved quality of life.

Global hunger relief
Share The Meal
A portion of our donations directly supports Share The Meal, a program that provides crucial meals to some of the World Food Programme's (WFP) most critical operations across the globe.
We are facing a global hunger crisis — with 733 million people lacking enough food to lead an active and healthy life. As the world battles an unprecedented number of emergencies driven by conflict, climate change, and economic instability, millions more are being pushed further into hunger.
Operating in over 120 countries and territories, the WFP provides support to more than 100 million people every year. Every single day, it mobilizes 5,600 trucks, 30 ships, and nearly 100 planes to ensure that food reaches the people who need it most — whether in conflict zones, disaster-stricken areas, or regions suffering from extreme poverty.

Direct local & global aid
Children & Families in Need
One of the core purposes of the Galaxy Fund is to provide financial and medical assistance to children in our local community who are facing hardships. A portion of every donation directly supports children — both locally and globally — who are in urgent need.
Whether it's financial aid to help a family overcome life's challenges or medical funding for critical care, your generosity brings hope and essential support to young lives.
This is where most of our work happens: one family, one emergency, one life at a time.
By donating, you're not just supporting a cause
You're putting food on the table, funding critical care, and standing beside families in their hardest moments.
